Well, we are starting something new. Instead of planting by seed or plant purchased at the garden store as we call it, we are planting our own garbage. Examples are green onion, celery and tomato that we would have otherwise thrown away....and we will see what happens. Anything we plant is super fun for the kiddos as they love to water anything, even if it's only dirt.
Hello and welcome! My name is Kimberly Florer and I am the owner and operator of Miss Kim's daycare. I started this wonderful business in 2016 and have been going strong ever since. I have worked with children for many years and have 2 children of my own. I provide care for children ages 0-12 years. Lots of hands on activities and crafts, books, puzzles, games, songs...oh the list goes on. Keeping them busy while having fun and learning new things is my approach, and works great!

Weekly Highlight-Alaia
Alaia is another one of our daycare veterans. She has been with us since she was 1 year old and is now 4 turning 5 next month. Alaia is super smart and is doing so well in TK. She absolutely loves school and loves her friends here at daycare as well. She is such a good helper and will clean anything for extra secret snacks as we call them. Alaia loves to color, paint, craft and play with the Barbie house on fun Friday. She is super sweet and is much loved here. She loves princesses and mermaids too, so I created a princess Mermaid as her character for her book...and she loves to read it all the time. We love you Alaia and thank you so much for your inspiration!

Besties
Our sweet Elianna came to visit us on fun Friday...Of course they had to take a picture together...daycare besties!
Good food-Bad food
These kiddos are way too smart for me. They already know what foods are good for your teeth and which ones that are not good. Did I mention that they love to glue...cause yea they love that too.

Weekly highlight-Victoria
Victoria is my sidekick and acts as my daycare assistant at times. She has been with our daycare family since she was 6 months old and is now 4 turning 5 this August. She is super smart and super helpful. Victoria loves to clean and help whenever possible, sometimes I feel like she is an employee, and I often tell her mommy that I should give her a W-2 for all that she does. Her book, "Tori and the Green Chancla", was my very first published children's book. When I look back on each book, I can definitely see my progression not only as a writer but as an illustrator as well. Victoria loves Halloween and also hates her dads ugly green chancla's...and so the story began. We have so much fun together every day and she has also inspired me to write another book which is nearly finished called "Do pepperonis grow on trees?". She keeps me on my toes and is awesome at getting shoes and jackets for other kiddos as they are picked up for the day. Thank you, Tori, for all you do here and for being such a smart, awesome and kind little girl, we love you to pieces and appreciate you so much!

Daycare memory books are here!
The daycare memory books finally came in! We make these books every 6 months for my daycare parents. They don't see what their kiddos do here on a daily, we do send pictures to them but not ALL pictures. This gives them something to look back on in the years to come and they can see the growth of their little one. It's a little something we love to do to show our appreciation for them.

Weekly Highlight-Pablo
Pablo is our sweetheart and has been with our daycare family for nearly 3 years now. He is very caring, soft spoken usually and is everyone's friend. He loves to be outside, and he loves to play with just about everything from puzzles to Legos. His favorite is Thomas the Train. He is super smart and knows all his shapes, colors, letters and numbers...and he is only 3 y'all. He also knows a lot of Spanish words too! Pablo is obsessed with watching "The cat and the mouse" which is "Tom and Jerry", he just gets the biggest kick out of that show, and we love watching him laugh and laugh. We did a lesson on space and there was a funny video and song that went along with it. He loved the solar system song and would like us to play it over and over, and that is when I knew his book had to be about planets and space. We also added his dog Jack Jack to the story as he loves him so much. We love you to pieces Pablo and are so proud of you!

Weekly Highlight-Ace
Ace loves to hear stories and thinks it's so funny when I make up my own. He is super sweet and super curious, as any 3 year old is. He likes to color, paint and play outside. Pablo is his daycare bestie, and so I thought it fitting to include Pablo in Ace's story. We also have a spyglass toy here at daycare that Ace was obsessed with for quite some time. He would always use it to look at everything...and that's how we got the title to his book and it went from there. Thank you Ace for your inspiration. We love you buddy!
