My love for writing started many years ago as a child I believe. I've always written rhymes and poems and would tell stories just made up in my head. When my son was born, I was a stay at home mom, and I started writing a story based off of a character that I used to doodle in 6th grade. I named him Charlie. Charlie was always on my mind and all over my notebooks and sketch pads or school book covers. I have a story line and after my son was born I started writing things down. I made an outline of the story I wanted to write on paper because I was not really good on the computer. As time went by, years really, I became better on the computer and started writing more...but only on the computer. Then I stopped. I started working and was just so busy that I didn't take the time to write anymore. I would make books on paper for my son and my Niece that only stayed in my binder. I also have a few other books, for adult readers, that are halfway finished. I do not always take the time, and sometimes I don't always have the extra time in the day, to just commit to writing. Now that I have a daycare business, I have been revived again. My focus though is on my daycare kiddos. I still have the others in the back of my mind, but my focus is on the kiddos for now. I am not a great writer, but it is fun for me and I am definitely learning new things all the time. I draw my ideas from my kiddos personality and sometimes from them as well. They do like to tell me what to write about and give me great ideas all the time. I am in love with writing again and I give the thanks to my daycare kiddos for giving me the inspiration I needed. I have written 14 books now in total, and I have to say I can see my growth in writing these silly books from my first book and now my fourteenth. I have come a long way baby. I am not a professional, but I am having so much fun with this and my kiddos just love when I read "their book" to everyone. That makes it all worth it for me!
